What a great start on the new year.....
21st January it was time for this years first show for us and it was at the Gundog show in Kungsör.
Breedjudge this day was Karin Brostam-Berglund (Kennel Don's) and we ad three dogs entered,
Ragge who had his debut, Toby and Maggan and it went over expectation....
"Ragge" Backhills Always Goes On won puppyclass 4-6 months with hp and was BOB-Puppy
and he later ended as Best Puppy In Show!
Then it was time for the next debut, "Magic" Backhills Zweet O´Magic was shown
very nicely by his owner Lars
and he got a very good criutique and got excellent, well done Lars and Magic!
"Toby" Ch.Backhills New Design came 2nd in ch.class with CQ and ended as 2nd Best Male.
"Maggan" Backhills Xpect A New Day won a big openclass with CQ and was
Best Bitch with CAC and with that she got her Swedish & Norwegian Show Champion title!!
She was also BOB and ended the day with beeing Best In Show!!!

BOB and BOS and several Best In Show. He ended the year as Top Winning Male-2010 and
Runner Up Cocker Of The Year-2010!

I'm sorry to say that we have sad news here again.
Yesterday we had to say godbye to our lovely "Felix" SU(u)CH Powerscourt Pied Piper.
He has the last few years been living with our friend Helen together with his daughter Kajsa and granddaughter Bonni.
But just before Chrismas he got sick and yesterday there was nothing more to be done, so we had to let him go.
Thank you to Chris for this lovely dog and we will always remember him!

I had the pleasure to be invited to judge a cocker club show in Parma this weekend.
I and my husband had a wonderful time and met lots of nice people and cockers =)
The day before the show I also held a grooming lesson, I had a young black
male from kennel Shavian to show them how I did my grooming.
I also presented the Plush Puppy products I use to my cockers and what
I think they should have to their dogs.

we got great news from Norway that yet another Toby daughter have done well....
This time it was Rainstorm's Brilliant Dreams "Evita" owned by Sarina van der Meeren, Kennel Sarinas Dream in the Netherlands.
Evita was at a show in Germany and won her class 1Exc +VDH,
got the CAC and ended as BOS only 14 months old. She also got teh title RHEINBERG SIEGERIN.
A huge congratulations to her owner Sarina and her breeders Örjan and Marianne!

We have been and done a clinical eye examination on four of our dogs today.
SU(u)CH Travis Keep It Classy, SU(u)CH Backhills Know It All,
Backhills New Design & Backhills Natalie Wood.
All four was clear.
"Allan" SU(u)CH DKUCH FIN CH. INT CH. Backhills Garibaldi have now moved to flyttat till
Karl & Marianne Isbosethsen, Kennel Iskama i Danmark.
So he is now co owned by us and kennel Iskama.
He has now been to two shows with Karl, one open show judged by
Tuija Kaipainen Kennel Sheerclever (DK-FIN).
It was Spaniel Klubben. Region 1 in Slangerup 13th January and Allan was Best In Show!!!
The second was 19th January in Germany, VDH Nürnberg International.

It doesn't seem like it is meant for me to go to this show.
Last year I got a parking ticket because I was 30
minutes late back to my car and
then I had a dispute with another cocker breeder who just wouldn't respect my
wishes (as usual)...
This year I had a break in in my car and they distroyed my door and made a big a scratch in the varnish and
also distryed the lock. Witch means that I will be
without my car for over a week when it's at the
car repair shop and it will cost me 2500:- in excess. i självrisk och att jag blir utan
bil i över en vecka.
This may be a sign that I'm not suppose to go to this show......
But we got some nice results in the ring:

Ch.Backhills Doris Day was Veteran Of The Year-2007!
She has also been Junior Of The Year-1999 and Cocker Of The Year-2005 and ended
at 6th place at cocker Of The Year-2007.
She is the only cocker in Sweden (so far) to have won three titles and we are of course very proud of her!
Since she love the show life she will not retire from the show rings just yet, she will still
be shown at a few selected shows next year were we think the judges will appreciate her true cocker qualitys.
During these years she has also had three litters and still continued to be in such good condition....

the first was "Tim" Int.Ch Backhills I Like It who lives
in Czeck with Petr Studenik
now the new second one who is our darling "Allan" SU(u)CH
DKUCH FIN CH. INT CH. Backhills Garibaldi.
He has been living in Finland since July this year with Minna Rasinpää, Kennel
Spectrolite's.
Yesterday we got the great news from Minna that Allan passed the working (talant) test (this was his first time out) and with that he
got two new titles Finnish and Internationel Champion.
( He got his Finnish CAC at national all breed show in Joensuu, 11th august, judge was Laurent Pichard)
